Four speakers loop different tracks in a space dramatically lined with red silk. When you enter the space, a cacophony of whispers are heard in an otherwise empty room. The tracks playing are whispers recorded by visitors to the space on the previous day. You are listening to messages from yesterday. As you come closer to each individual speaker, the separate voices can be heard.
Visitors recorded their messages in a hidden corner of the gallery behind a fringed curtain. They spoke of hopes, dreams, memories. They sent messages to loved ones, the town of Folkestone or the world at large. This was a work created by the visitors.
