Ruth led a unique experimental sound event centered on sounds generated from a live plant. The objective was not to create music in the traditional sense, but to allow the live plant to generate sounds which were applied to the plant data, live via a Digital Audio Workstation.
As plant sounds were generated, performers improvised responses using their individual talents and interests, including vocals, objects, instruments and movement. Performers moved around the audience, who were also free to respond.
